  We went to Nineteen for our anniversary, and the food was absolutely top class. I am so happy we have a restaurant of this caliber in St Albert, hopefully they can keep up this standard for many years.

  I am disappointed. This was not our first time dining here.( I mention this because for whatever reason,we were asked this this when we first came in.) My husband and I wanted a table for 2. I asked if reservations were required and was informed that there was a wait of approximately 20 minutes or we could eat at the bar in the lounge. We did not want to eat at the bar in the lounge but were encouraged to sit in there while we were waiting as that was the procedure. They took our name and we went to wait. We ordered drinks and waited. Then, being patient, and hungry, we ordered an appetizer and I ordered a second drink.The waitress asked us if we wanted to order from the main menu.(maybe that was a clue.) We said no did not want to eat our meal in the lounge. We arrived at 7:25. At approximately 8:45 I asked how much longer. The bar waitress went to ask and returned saying we were next (whatever that meant as she still could not give us a time) We paid and left. I felt that the moment we went to the bar, we were considered taken care of. At no time did anyone come to tell us the wait was longer and why. We were conveniently forgotten. And why were we asked if we had eaten there before? We know that the food is expensive there. Our last bill was about $160.00 for the two of us. And we tip generously. My advice is : Don't go without reservations. And if you do, dress rich(I am only assuming we weren't meeting the expectations of high end dress why else ask if we had eaten there before unless you don't measure up somehow) and don't go to the lounge as you will become forgotten.

  I took my wife here for her birthday dinner a couple days ago. We had a wonderful experience here. The staff was wonderful, and the food was delicious! We had the mussels and the tiger prawns, and a couple of martinis. All of the above was wonderful. The atmosphere is very well put together with a modern theme.
